Flower Girl

Bailee get's to be a flower girl in Auntie Trina's wedding next month. She has been itching to wear her 'wedding' dress, so we let her wear it to church today.
I even did her hair up and put some sparkly 'diamonds' in it.
Watching her try and put her own shoes on was a treat. She did finally get them on before I got out of the shower.

Bailee looked like a little princess and she loved every minute of it. Thanks Grammy and Grampy for the 'wedding' dress!

Easter Morning

We decided to go to the Mt. Timpanogos Temple on Sunday morning. It looked like a beautiful day, but when we got to the temple the wind was blowing and it was cold.
Bailee cried the whole time, and I felt bad because I thought she was cold. She actually was crying because I told her she couldn't go inside the temple.
Her Easter dress came with a matching dress for her baby doll. Bailee thought that was pretty cool. Super cute despite the tears and the crazy wind blown hair.

We really enjoyed having everyone visit over the past week. After everyone was gone Bailee was really sad there were no more cousins to play with. We can't wait for the next family gathering.

I'm so grateful for the Easter holiday and the reminders of our Savior. I know that He did rise on the 3rd day and that because of His sacrifice and resurrection we all will be resurrected. I am so grateful to have the knowledge of the gospel and of my Savior, and especially that families can be together forever.

Dyeing Eggs

After a long busy week, we finally dyed the Easter Eggs. It's so much fun to watch Bailee experience these fun traditions. Even though she dyed eggs last year, it was like she was doing it for the first time this year.
She loved putting the eggs in and watching them change colors. We could have done 10 dozen eggs and I still don't think she'd have gotten bored.
The colored eggs....

After they dried the girls drew on them with chalk. Here are Bailee's finished product!

Not to much later we cracked them all open and made deviled eggs....YUM!

Visit from the Easter Bunny

We woke up Saturday morning to find that the Easter Bunny had visited. The girls had fun checking out their baskets and eating lots of candy.

Zoo part 1

We went to the Zoo Friday afternoon. Bailee loves animals and the zoo train, so she was excited all day to get there. We had to park at the top of the zoo, so the first thing we saw was the tiger.
Bailee took this picture of the Rhino's.
She's not quite as big as a gorilla.....
One last picture before we head home...

(I was pretty excited to test out the double stroller, and I was not disappointed. LOVED it!)

Zoo part 2

Bailee couldn't wait to ride the carousel and the train. It took her a minute to decide which animal she wanted to ride on, and she was so excited when she found a big elephant. The whole time we were going around, I was getting sick and she was yelling "This is AMAZING!"
She did not want to get off the train when the ride was over. Bailee loves trains and keep asking if she can have one of her own.

By the time we'd seen almost everything she and Tylie were beyond tired. They both fell asleep on the way home and got a good nap in.

Egg hunt at the park

Jana invited us to go to an Egg Hunt that one of her friends puts on. There were a ton of kids, but it was fun. Bailee knew just what she was doing this time, and what was inside of those eggs.

She also got to frost a cookie...we all know that's one of her favorite things to do! She was in heaven......until the Easter Bunny showed up. Then she freaked out a little and wanted to go home.

Peanut Butter Playdough

I mixed up a batch of Peanut Butter Play Dough to occupy the kids while Nicole finished taking some pictures of Kellen. They LOVED it! I forgot how greasy it is.... well worth the mess though.

I'm surprised Bailee didn't have a belly ache....she ate so much of this stuff!

And since I'm sharing, here's the recipe that I used. (from Jill Hatch)

1 C Peanut Butter
1 C Corn Syrup
1 1/4 C Powdered Sugar
1 1/4 C Powdered Milk

Mix everything together. The consistency can vary--- softer or harder. That is done by using the powdered milk. Also, this works best if it's chilled for at least 2 hours before use.

(I didn't chill it, it was a last minute idea. Maybe it wouldn't have been so greasy if I had?)

Family Egg Hunt

Most of the cousins were on Spring Break this week, and we were lucky enough to see almost all of them. In between rain storms we had a fun little egg hunt in the backyard....the kids LOVED it.
I don't think Bailee remembers the one we went to last year, she thought it was so much fun to pick up the eggs.

She was even more excited when she discovered there was candy and CHOCOLATE inside.

Swimming

One of the benefits of Luke's changed schedule is more time to play after work. We needed some good family time this afternoon, so we headed over to the Lehi Pool. It's so much fun, and this was Luke's first time over there.
Bailee loves the slides, but she does not love when the big bucket dumps the water. Every time she hears it she gets a little scared. I think just because it's a little loud.
The water is seriously like 98 degrees! I love that! Reminds me of the Hot Springs back home, without the fish of course.
Yeah, what pregnant lady wants a picture in a swimming suit?? Good thing I'm hiding under the water.

We spent about an hour in the water before they cleared us out for a life guard break. We headed home and Bailee fell asleep before we got here. We tried to wake her up for dinner and a bath, but she just wouldn't do it! Besides a quick potty break at midnight, she slept until almost 9 the next morning.
