Happy Halloween!

We had a fun day yesterday! We got up and got dressed in our costumes and then picked up Alyssa and McKinley. We had to run some errands and Alyssa was trying to put the finishing touches on their costumes. Everywhere we went people were ooohing and aaahing over Bailee and McKinley. Who wouldn't? They were absolutely adorable! The girls got to go trick-or-treating and see their daddy's at work. Mostly Alyssa and I just wanted to show them off. Then it was home for a nap. Bailee and I went down to the park in Pleasant Grove to see what their little carnival was about. She filled her pumpkin with candy and then got to swing and go down the slide. That was probably the highlight of her day. Then it was time to trunk-or-treat at the church. McKinley and her family came with us, but Daddy was still at work. Bailee was pretty good at getting candy and putting it right in her pumpkin, or in my bug catching net. Yeah, that was my costume, I was a bug catcher. :) Better than nothing, right? After trunk-0r-treat we went trick-or-treating at home. Daddy answered the door and grabbed the candy off of the piano. When he went to stick it in McKinley's bucket he finally realized it was just us and get this... he actually threw candy at us! We told him to get his shoes on and come trick-or-treating with us. Then we went to a few houses for McKinley to show off her costume. And then to the Hatch's (Alyssa's parents) for the best chili, cornbread, and donuts ever! It was seriously so yummy. I ate 2 bowls of chili, at least 4 pieces of cornbread and a couple of donut holes. MMMMM When it was obvious that Bailee was going to fall asleep at any minute we said goodbye. Of course we couldn't leave without kisses and loves from McKinley, and if you give kisses and loves to McKinley you can be sure that Alyssa will want a kiss. But it didn't stop there. JT needed a kiss, and well that was too cute to not take a picture of. So needless to say 10 kisses later Alyssa may have gotten a good one. And then it was Addie's turn; but she didn't just want a kiss, she wanted a picture of the kiss. So we finally pull into our drive and I decided that Bailee needed to see if her friend Rachel was still at grandma's house. Rachel wasn't, but Alisha and Daniel were so we got to see their cute costumes. Of course, since we were there, we just had to frost a few cookies. Bailee discovered candy corn, and that it must be straight sugar. I'm not sure how many she ate, but I am sure she threw a fit when I wouldn't let her eat anymore. We got away with just one cookie a piece, much to Jackie's dismay. I won't be surprised to have a few show up here later today. The last item of business before bed was the dumping of the candy bucket. I can not believe how much candy Bailee pulled in. It's seriously ridiculous! I am trying to think of ways to get rid of it, so if anyone has any ideas please post them! All in all it was a really fun day and I think that Bailee had a good time.

Doesn't this look like the face of a happy, candy-filled baby??

Our Week....

Bailee loves her pumpkins. Every time we go outside she wants to pick them up, take the lid off Jack, give them kisses, and pull the candle out. Don't worry, it's battery operated and doesn't get hot. She also cries out "pumpkin" (though it doesn't really sound like that) anytime she sees one. It's pretty cute. Friday she went to 'nursery' for the first time while I went to Enrichment. I packed her stuff in this little backpack to avoid carrying around the big diaper bag. I didn't even know that Bailee knew what a backpack was, but she started saying backpack as soon as she saw it. She now likes to wear it around, and heaven forbid we leave the house without it.
Saturday Bailee decided it was time to be awake around 6:15 am. So we finally gave in and got up and ate breakfast. Then we spent some time outside preparing for winter. Luke mowed the lawn for the last time, we put the hoses away, and all that other good stuff. It was pretty chilly so we bundled Bailee up good. She loves to be outside, especially if she gets to jump on the trampoline or swing.
Here's an update on the parking lot..... it's actually kind of high, so it'll be interesting to see how it looks. Oh, and they aren't putting up a fence.

Later we went to the fun cousins Halloween party at Aunt Mary's house. It was a lot of fun, and it's always good to see the family. We didn't get a picture of all the cute kids (and adults) dressed up. But, we did get a couple of Bailee before we went. She's not so sure what to think about this whole costume thing. Luke thinks the picture with the duck is funny.

Shake, Shake!

Bailee and I watch Signing Time at least once a day. She absolutley loves this show and has learned so much! I am constantly amazed at the signs she has picked up! The episode we've been watching latley is called Movin and Grovin and teaches movement signs. So we are sitting down having a fantastic lunch today, (for those of you who care....we had Wild Rice and Chicken Soup, Grilled Cheese sandwhiches, and pomegranites) and the house starts to rattle and shake. Bailee gave me the funniest look, "What was that mom?". You'd think after the past few weeks she wouldn't even notice, right? So I tell her, "That shaking and rattling is from those big trucks. Do you see them out the window?" She looks out the window and starts shaking! There is no technical sign for shaking your body, so she just starts shaking her body. I of course had to grab the camera for this moment. One of these day's I'll do a video. :)

Our big helper

Bailee likes to help clean up, she must get that from her daddy. {Smiles} She especially likes to hold the dust pan. Unfortunately when she 'helps' it usually takes a whole lot longer, and I end of sweeping the stuff into piles at least 3 or 4 times. At least she tries though, right?
Bailee also love to climb on the table. I was making dinner and turned around to see her on the table picking flowers. Of course when she noticed that I was watching her she started shaking her head and saying "No, no, no." Maybe one of these days she'll learn that no means not to do it. Another day she climbed on the table, turned on the radio and started dancing. What am I going to do with her?
I need to get a picture of her signing 'please'. She totally thinks that if she says please she should get whatever she wants. We're working on that.

{Ha Ha....Bailee just saw the picture of her picking flowers and started saying "No, no" again. }

We had our first snow of the season yesterday and last night. I didn't get a picture this morning though, and it was melted by the time we got out of church. Bailee didn't even play in it, we'll have to let her next time.

That's about as exciting as we were this week, not at all compared to last week!

Vegas Trip Go Cougars

We made a family trip to Las Vegas to see family and to watch the BYU football game. We spent a couple of days in Alamo visiting with Traci's Family. We drove to Las Vegas on Friday night and spent some time with Luke's Sister Jana and her family.

On Saturday we went to the big game. Bailee enjoyed everything except for when we tried to get her to talk with Cosmo. We will continue to work on that.
Cosmo is so mean.
BYU won 24-14, and that made us all happy, and made the traffic getting out of the stadium ok. It took us a hour to get out of the parking lot. We made it St. George at 1:30 AM, and then drove home Sunday Morning. It was a long and fun trip.

The Football Game Traci Vs Bailee

Between Conference session to get outside and play for a while there was a football game Bailee Vs Traci.

Bailee came out with the spread option and tricked Traci with some nice plays.
Bailee scored and led 7-0
In the 4th quarter there was a controversial play, was it a fumble?? You make the call
It was ruled a fumble and Bailee recovered. After a long video review.

Bailee ended up with the ball and she beat beat Mom 7-0.

Cornbellys

Alyssa and I took the girls to Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point yesterday. Our real purpose was to take cute fall pictures of the girls, together and individually. Well they were having way to much fun running away from us and exploring to actually pose for a picture. Despite this minor difficulty, it was super fun. The girls had such a good time. We slid down slides, some of them really hurt. We rode the 'cow' train, not so comfortable. We played in a 'corn' box, climbed on hay, and jumped on the big pillows. We even got a few pictures of the girls with pumpkins. We did get some cute pictures even if they weren't what we had imagined. Bailee kept giving the pumpkins loves and kisses, and she absolutely loved sitting on the 'horse'. Really it was just a saddle on a log, but it pleased her.

A trip to Grandma and Grandpa's.

Bailee and I took a last minute trip last Thursday to visit Grandma and Grandpa Spencer. It was actually more to say Happy 16th Birthday to Auntie Tressa. We didn't tell anyone, we just hopped into the car with Grandma and surprised them all. It was really fun! Bailee and I flew back home on Sunday and Luke picked us up at the airport. Here's a couple of picture from the surprise party, it was after a football game...thus the cheer uniform.
