Uh yeah

If you have our blog on your blog list, have you noticed that it shows my last update as Malibu? What's up with that? I don't know about you but I usually only check out the blogs when it shows an update. So maybe no one is reading anymore?

This not having a computer thing is making me nuts. There are 2 positives though. First is we've needed a new computer for a while. We bought ours when we were first married 6 years ago and it's served it's purpose well. But it's been on the verge of crashing for awhile. The second positive is that just a day or so after the crash, Luke brought home an iPod touch. He found it in a car and it was never claimed. We have wireless here, so I do have a little bit of access.

Isn't it insane how dependent we've become on these machines? For communication, work, play, gathering information, creating, sharing, reading, writing. I've lost all of my documents and the thing I'm most disappointed about is the loss of my address book! I did back up earlier this year, so I may have some stuff still. We'll have to see what we can find when we get a new computer. We missed an insanely good deal a couple of weeks ago and now I want to wait to find another good deal. I hope its soon.

Deck the Halls!

Sunday we added our special ornaments to the tree. I love them! There are snowflakes tated by Great Grandma Spencer, ornaments from Great Grandma Millie, Each of our "First Christmas" ornaments, ones from friends and family through the years, Luke's ornaments from his growing up years, and our own traditional yearly ornaments. The past 3 years we've done photo ornaments. So much fun!

One of Maddox's favorite things to do is throw balls. Not surprising. Unfortunatley he thinks there are lots of balls on the tree and loves to take them off and throw them. Thankfully they are mostly plastic.

Bailee loves to turn the lights on and look at her special ornaments. She touches them way more now than she did as a baby.

Luke's Birthday!

I am so sad I didn't take pictures at Luke's party! I was so busy getting ready and then cooking, I forgot to go find the camera. The tree was the centerpiece for the party though. I decorated it all in blue, white and silver. Then we printed some facts and highlights from 1980 as well as important dates from Luke's life and hung them on the tree. I also made some cute party favors that were on the tree. I'll have to find one and take a pic. to post. Fun stuff!

Tree Skirt

I made this tree skirt for the IHH tree at the Festival of trees. I think it turned out so cute! Unfortunatley I didn't get a picture of the completed tree! I've got to get better at this!

Tis the Season

We celebrated Luke's birthday a day early, on Friday, with a SURPRISE party. It was so much fun to get together with friends and family and talk about years gone by. I love hearing stories of Luke growing up, even if I've already heard them a hundred times, it never gets old (or borring!). So HAPPY HAPPY Birthday to my best friend, the best husband and father a girl could ask for, and amazing guy.

We've had a busy month already, and lots of fun things coming up. Love the magic of this time of year. I need to be better at taking pictures to share!

On a sad note our computer crashed, for real this time, and I'm realizing how dependent I am on the machine. Hopefully we'll find the right computer at the right price very soon. Thankfully I have been really faithful at backing up pictures.

Well there's a quick update! I hope the next one is using our own new computer and includes pictures!
