Family Reunion

We went south for my Dad's family reunion. I carried the camera around all day, and these are the only pictures we took. Go figure. We had fun though, and I did get some video of Grandma and Grandpa Spencer.

The exciting news of the day...James finally asked my dad if he could marry Trina. Now wedding plans are in full swing. Congrats you guys, we're super excited!

Green Eggs and Ham

Well, actually, just green eggs. We've been reading Green Eggs and Ham so much, I've actually got it memorized. So I decided to make some green eggs for Bailee. She thought it was the coolest.

I do have proof Tami was here. Last week we decided to go play basketball for FHE. It was fun, I haven't played in a while.

Our neighbor heard Bailee out there and handed her some fun bubbles. Wasn't that sweet!

Little Mommy

McKinley gave Bailee this cute little stroller for her birthday. The day she got it we went for 2 walks around the neighborhood, and she really hasn't let it out of her sight.

She loves pushing her Baby Kadee around, as well as all of her other little friends. I think they've all had a few turns.

Bailee has learned to take the stroller over the bumps in the side walk. She's also learned not to let go as the stroller will roll down the hill and tip over if she does.

Thanks McKinley, Bailee thinks you're the greatest.

What we've been up to...

So I haven't posted in awhile, usually that results in phone calls and emails from my mom. She would be happy if I could post pictures every few minutes, just so she can keep up with Bailee. My little sister Tami has been here for a couple of weeks, and somehow the only pictures I got of her was at her last day of Basketball camp, and well...I think I've lost those. We really haven't done much of anything. By the time we're all ready to do something, it's time for lunch and naps. Then it seems when Bailee gets up it's time to make dinner. That's pretty normal for me, I'm used to it. Hopefully Tami hasn't been too bored.

We did get to go to Annie and Stretch's reception last week. It was beautiful! Luke thought we were never going to get there, but when we did, it was worth the drive. (We're so happy for you guys!)

Mostly we've played out side, run errands, and watched movies. Bailee's current favorite is Lady and the Tramp. I'm ready for her to pick a new favorite. :)

I really think that's about it. I can't believe the summer is almost over! I've been starting to think about Fall because the new Close To My Heart Fall/Winter Idea book will be arriving soon. I like to plan ahead, but I'm really not ready for summer to end! Though maybe some new fall product will get me in the mood to scrap last years fall pictures and move on from the millions of pool/water pictures I've been working with.

Bailee's First Haircut

If you'd ask me 7-10 years ago if I'd ever let my cousin Jackie cut my hair (or my child's hair) I would have looked at you like you were crazy and probably laugh. Not a chance. But, she did move up here and go to hair school and I heard that she does a really good job. So I asked her to give Bailee a bit of a trim. Bailee was such a good sport. She liked wearing the monster apron, and really didn't move around a lot. Jackie did a great job, we didn't cut any length off, just trimmed it a little and cut her bangs back.

Jackie was also kind enough to bring along her boyfriend, Marshall, who tried to fix my computer. He did get it running much faster, for which I am extremely grateful. I guess the other issue will just have to continue until we buy a new computer.

I also got a haircut, but still haven't taken a picture. It looks pretty much the same as the last time I had it cut. Thanks Jackie! (and Marshall!)

Bailee's Bike

Bailee had fun at Grandma and Grandpa's, but she was glad to be home. She took her new bike out for a ride, and didn't even mind wearing the helmet. When I asked her where she wanted to go, she told me "Anne's house". So we rode down the street to Anne's house.

When we arrived at Anne's, Bailee looked at me and said "I made it Mom, I made it!" She was so cute. But Anne wasn't home. We'll have to visit again sometime soon, we want to meet Anne's new baby sister!

And look what was waiting for us when we returned from Nevada!!! A FENCE! I am so super excited about it. Now we'll just wait for them to put the privacy slats in.

Fire Works!

Despite the look on her face, Bailee actually did enjoy the fireworks.

July 4th Parade!

Short and sweet. The Alamo parade was maybe 15 minutes, and it went around the block twice. Thats my idea of a parade.

Bailee's first Pitching Lesson

Grandma gave Bailee her first pitching lesson at softball practice. Bailee loves to throw the ball and already has quite an arm. We'll have to keep working with her, but really, not this early. :) First she needs to decide if she's going to be a lefty or a righty.

Ash Springs

Grandma took us Swimming to Ash Springs. It's a hot spring near our house. Bailee loved the water, of course. She didn't love the fishies nibbling on her toes.

Another horse story

This horse has been at R-Place for as long as I can remember. I'm sure that I rode it as a little kid. I remember that it used to cost 1o cents. Now they have it rigged so it's free, you just push the button.

Bailee loves to ride it. She'd stay all day if I'd let her.

After loading Cocoa up, we stopped at R-Place to ride the horse and have an ice cream. Oh, and go to the potty a hundred times. I don't know what her fascination with public potties is, but she always has to go check out the potty when we go somewhere.

When we were leaving there was this cute little baby goat outside. Bailee loved it! She was petting it and then grabbed it's collar and tried to walk it around. Now she wants Grandma and Grandpa to get a goat.
