Easter Morning

We decided to go to the Mt. Timpanogos Temple on Sunday morning. It looked like a beautiful day, but when we got to the temple the wind was blowing and it was cold.
Bailee cried the whole time, and I felt bad because I thought she was cold. She actually was crying because I told her she couldn't go inside the temple.
Her Easter dress came with a matching dress for her baby doll. Bailee thought that was pretty cool. Super cute despite the tears and the crazy wind blown hair.

We really enjoyed having everyone visit over the past week. After everyone was gone Bailee was really sad there were no more cousins to play with. We can't wait for the next family gathering.

I'm so grateful for the Easter holiday and the reminders of our Savior. I know that He did rise on the 3rd day and that because of His sacrifice and resurrection we all will be resurrected. I am so grateful to have the knowledge of the gospel and of my Savior, and especially that families can be together forever.

Dyeing Eggs

After a long busy week, we finally dyed the Easter Eggs. It's so much fun to watch Bailee experience these fun traditions. Even though she dyed eggs last year, it was like she was doing it for the first time this year.
She loved putting the eggs in and watching them change colors. We could have done 10 dozen eggs and I still don't think she'd have gotten bored.
The colored eggs....

After they dried the girls drew on them with chalk. Here are Bailee's finished product!

Not to much later we cracked them all open and made deviled eggs....YUM!

Visit from the Easter Bunny

We woke up Saturday morning to find that the Easter Bunny had visited. The girls had fun checking out their baskets and eating lots of candy.

Peanut Butter Playdough

I mixed up a batch of Peanut Butter Play Dough to occupy the kids while Nicole finished taking some pictures of Kellen. They LOVED it! I forgot how greasy it is.... well worth the mess though.

I'm surprised Bailee didn't have a belly ache....she ate so much of this stuff!

And since I'm sharing, here's the recipe that I used. (from Jill Hatch)

1 C Peanut Butter
1 C Corn Syrup
1 1/4 C Powdered Sugar
1 1/4 C Powdered Milk

Mix everything together. The consistency can vary--- softer or harder. That is done by using the powdered milk. Also, this works best if it's chilled for at least 2 hours before use.

(I didn't chill it, it was a last minute idea. Maybe it wouldn't have been so greasy if I had?)

Family Egg Hunt

Most of the cousins were on Spring Break this week, and we were lucky enough to see almost all of them. In between rain storms we had a fun little egg hunt in the backyard....the kids LOVED it.
I don't think Bailee remembers the one we went to last year, she thought it was so much fun to pick up the eggs.

She was even more excited when she discovered there was candy and CHOCOLATE inside.

Houseguests and the Planetarium

(October 16, 2008)
We had Matt, Jolynn, Brooks, Brayden and Brea stay with us for a couple of days. It was lots of fun to hang out with them. They wanted to go to the Planetarium so Bailee, Moses and I tagged along. It was so cool, I'd never been there before.
All of the kids were fascinated by this machine. It had all different sizes of balls moving around in it.
Here are the kids on the Moon.
And Bailee on Mars.

At Timp Lodge we...

We got to go up the canyon to Timp Lodge with the Esplin Family. It was so much fun. We hadn't seen some of the aunts and uncles since Mom and Dad B. left on their mission. So while we were there we....
Went on a 'hike'. Our guides were Brock and Jaxon.
We got to swing! (we saw some deer by the swings, Bailee thought that was pretty cool.)
We played with cousins and ate a lot of yummy food. Bailee's favorite were the ginormous chocolate chip cookies. My favorite was the amazing salsa.
And we found some pretty flowers. Of course this time Bailee did not want to "Smile and say cheese!".

Baby River

It's no secret that Bailee loves her cousins. She was SOOOO excited all week waiting for a visit from Sahara, Canyon, and especially baby River. I finally got pictures of her holding River. Bailee was also excited for Sahara to have a sleep over in her room. We made a bed on the floor and Bailee hasn't stopped talking about "Sarah's" bed.

Nicole was also nice enough to do some 2 year old pictures and a new family picture. I can't wait to share them! They turned out amazing as usual, even with all the 2 year old attitude. Thanks Nicole!

A Barel of Monkeys!

The last night with the cousins....what could be better than a round or two of "Ring a round the rosies"? Bailee was loving it. She really loved spending time with her cousins, and since we've been home has asked to go back and 'swim with cousins.'

Bailee also really loved holding Baby River and Baby Tylie. We all did. What sweet little babies. And somehow I didn't get any pictures of them!

Sunny??? St. George....and I just realized this is post 100!

Well we arrived in St. George Friday afternoon to find it not very warm. Bailee and I tried to swim, but the water was just too cold for us. We hopped out and got dressed while Luke was brave and played in the pool.

The kids loved the cold, swampy hot tub. Unfortunately, I don't think it loved them back.
Doesn't that look fun? The boys were trying to jump onto this pool toy.
