Let's Go To The Zoo

Last Thursday we went with Grandma Spencer, Alyssa and McKinley to the Hoggle Zoo in Salt Lake. It was really fun. We didn't get a ton of pictures because the battery in the camera was pretty dead. I even checked it before we left and it showed it was full. Errrr. Anyways, Bailee loves to see the animals. She recognized most of them and did the signs, so that was really fun. She loved the Gorillas, but they were asleep against the glass so we couldn't get a good picture.

Our back yard

is a construction zone. They are building a rec center and the parking log is literally in our back yard. This used to be an 'field' filled with weeds, trees, and who knows what else. Here is a picture from the beginning of the week:

And here's the view today!

It will be nice when it's all done, it's just really weird to look out the window and not see the trees.

Go Cougs!

So Friday Luke called and asked if he could go to the BYU game with his buddy, I being a good wife said of course. I was kind of disappointed though, because I wanted to go too. But I made some other plans and was looking forward to spending the afternoon with Bailee. (Oh wait, I do that every afternoon.) About an hour before Luke was planning to leave another buddy called and offered him a ticket, so Bailee and I got to go too! Cancel plans, still get to spend a fun afternoon with Bailee! It was really fun! I got to visit with Aunt Jill and Uncle Kent. It was kind of weird to not sit with Luke though. I have to say that I did miss the play by play commentary. I kept thinking to myself "should they go for it? What would Luke say?" Bailee was tired, so she sat on my lap the whole time, she was such a good girl! It started raining pretty good at the end of the third quarter. I didn't mind it, but Bailee wouldn't sit under the rain poncho. So I decided we better head to the car. We hung out under the stadium for a few minutes so she could run around. By the time we got to the car, the game was over and Luke and Sam were on their way as well. It was a fun day, and of course...BYU won. 31-6. Here are some pics of our day!

Bailee fell asleep about 5 minutes before we got to the stadium, and slept until we sat down to eat pizza!

Here is our traditional game day pizza! They raised the price though, it's $6 instead of $5
The Tailgate Party! Look at that future cheerleader!!

Here we are down by the field!
And finally, here is our cute little Cougar Fan! Bailee got these fun beads at the tailgate party. She was excited, she loves putting on necklaces and already has quite a collection.

So here's an update....

I know, I know....I need to post on here more often! Though I'm not even sure if anyone ever looks at this.
So Bailee turned one a few months ago, I still can't believe it. She is walking all over the place, and talking up a storm. Some of her favorite words are: Sit, Walk, Kitty and Ball. We have been watching signing time for about 7 months, and she uses signs quite a bit. It's a lot of fun to be able to communicate with her easily. I think the most exciting news at this point is that we are taking a little trip down south in about 3 weeks. We are going to spend a day or two in Alamo with my family, and then go to Las Vegas to watch the BYU vs. UNLV football game. So that will be a lot of fun.

Luke is still working for Hertz, and has been super busy. They thought once school started that things would slow down, but it hasn't. The weekends of home BYU games have been especially busy. He is teaching Sunday school to the older youth and really enjoys that.

I have been busy chasing Bailee all over the place, and squeezing in time for scrapbooking. I finally finished our book from San Diego, so that was really exciting. Bailee loves to look through it and see the animal pictures. My business is going well, and I am loving every minute of it. Close To My Heart products has made scrapbooking faster, simpler, easier, and less expensive than I even imagined it could be. I'm glad I found this hobby and this company. I am also working with the Young Women in our ward, and I love that. We have the best young women, and I've had such a great time hanging out with them and getting to know them.

Well, that's about all the exciting news we have! I will try and post more often.

Cascade Springs

Bailee and I went to Cascade Springs last night for a young womens activity. It was so pretty! The leaves are changing colors, and the fall weather is beautiful. We are definitely going to have to take Luke up there soon. It's a nice walk with bridges and paved pathways, Bailee was able to walk most of it. On our way back we even saw a Moose and her Baby. It was too dark to get pictures though. There were a lot of really cool places to take pictures too.
